Tournament Gran Premio Ib\u00e9ricos Fuente la Virgen<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Tournament Gran Premio Ib\u00e9ricos Fuente la Virgen.<\/strong> The first edition of tournament Gran Premio Ib\u00e9ricos Fuente la Virgen was celebrated on November 7 with great success and a day full of players. Despite the rain forecast, it turned out to be a typical Autumn day on the Costa Del Sol; a splendid day with sun and blue sky.<\/p>

The players received a Welcome Pack and picnic, and a half way well-deserved break in the courtesy tent with with Iberian products; ham, cheese and fine wine. The playing condition was exceptional thanks to the great work of the maintenance team, who made a great effort to bring the course to its usual high standard despite the heavy rain during the days before the tournament.<\/p>

The tournament was played in two mixed categories, Individual Stableford with prizes to the 3 best classified in each cateogy. The prize table presented a great variety of Iberian products from the Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park for both the classified and the special prizes, thanks to our sponsor of the tournament, Iberian Products Fuente la Virgen.<\/a><\/p>

The first three classified in the first category were; Jos\u00e9 Antonio Benavides L\u00f3pez, Miguel Fuentes Collado and Francisco Arjona Henares.<\/p>

In the second category, the first three places corresponded to Ra\u00fal Jos\u00e9 Lozada Olmedo, Gustavo Hughes and Paul Hogguer. The special prizes went to; Tony Benavides for nearest to the pin, Martina Wichmann for the longest drive in the ladies’ category and Carlos Leroy for the longest drive in the men’s category.<\/p>

Thank you to all the participants, the staff and our sponsor Ib\u00e9ricos Fuente la Virgen, for this wonderful day of golf and our congratulations to all the winners.<\/p>

Don\u00b4t miss our next event in the tournament calendar on December 19, when we organize our Christmas Tournament.<\/a> It will be played in Fourball better ball format with prizes for the 5 best classified, special prizes and and draw. As usual all players will receive a warm welcome with a typical Spanish broth and Christmas sweets. <\/strong><\/p>
