Mijas is about history, sea, mountains and now it is also about golf. The cosmopolitan municipality of Mijas presents itself as one of the most attractive golf destinations in Southern Europe, thanks to the union and association of all the golf courses in Mijas, with the representation of; Chaparral Golf Club<\/a><\/strong>, La Cala Golf Resort<\/a><\/strong>, Calanova Golf<\/a><\/strong>, Mijas Golf<\/a><\/strong>, Miraflores Golf<\/a><\/strong>, Santana Golf<\/a><\/strong>, La Noria Golf & Resort<\/a><\/strong>, Cerrado del \u00c1guila Golf Resort<\/a><\/strong> y Club de Golf La Siesta<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>

The new Golf Courses Association of Mijas<\/strong> was officially created on the 20th<\/sup> of September of 2022. This association comprises all of the golf courses in the Mijas municipality, who joined forces with the aim of positioning Mijas as a must visit golf destination.<\/p>

Thanks to this alliance, local golfers and international visitors will have at their disposal the opportunity to play on a wide variety of golf courses and enjoy the services offered by our clubs in a privileged location. All this, together with the proximity of an international airport connected to the main European cities, the diverse cultural and leisure offering, and a mild Mediterranean climate, places Mijas amongst the most attractive golf destinations in Europe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Golf Courses Association of Mijas is a non-profit organization, under Spanish Law 1\/2002 of the 22 th <\/sup>\u00a0of March and Royal Decree 1740\/2003 of the 19 th<\/sup> December. This Association has been legally established for an indefinite period, with the purpose of promoting the practice of the game of golf and the activities of its members, whilst sharing experiences and promoting synergies for the better functioning of its golf courses and of the Association itself. The scope of action of the Association includes the golf courses of the municipality of Mijas.<\/p>

Domingo Gavira<\/strong>, General Manager of Chaparral Golf Club and President of the association, together with its current board, commented: “The work we have done in recent months to create this alliance between our golf courses has clear and defined objectives. The association will be a platform where collective interests will prevail, along with the combined work done with the Institutions of the municipality of Mijas as well as other public bodies\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A very important goal of the association is the promotion of the game of Golf and its grassroots among the local society of Mijas. For this reason, different actions will be carried out with the ultimate aim of developing golf as a hobby amongst new players. Grassroots sport serves as a vehicle for developing new talents, and it is also directly correlated with the values \u200b\u200bthat this association and its members defend,\u200b\u200b such as respect, hard work, self-improvement, courage, tolerance, responsibility and camaraderie.<\/p>
