One more year, El Chaparral Golf Club has hosted the traditional tournament of the City of Fuengirola, commemorating the sixth edition<\/p>\n

Nearly a hundred players gathered in the beautiful Mijas tour, where expectations were very high, as\u00a0many players had good chances of\u00a0becoming the trophy winner.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The splendid weather and not a breath of wind all morning, something quite unusual in this course, helped the participants, who also enjoyed a field\u00a0in excellent state. Thus, the conditions were perfect to demonstrate \u00a0all the potential and desire to win that everyone had.<\/div>\n

As expected, the final classification in the first category was tight. The winner, Pepe Diaz, with par for the course and 36 points, was only\u00a0two points ahead of Rafael Gambero, his nearest rival. Rafael was followed by the players\u00a0Gianni Albertazzi, Jose Manuel Reina, Ignacio\u00a0Mugaburu and Rafael Manj\u00f3n who tied on points.<\/div>\n

In the second category Lawrenz Karin stood in first place with 38 points, followed by Fco. Javier Vazquez, who even though scoring\u00a0the same\u00a0points, used a higher handicap.<\/div>\n

Remarkably, the top\u00a0nine competitors\u00a0were only separated by three points, which shows the\u00a0rivalry between the players to qualify as high as possible in the table.<\/div>\n

Finn Oskari Hati, a regular at the club and familiar with\u00a0the course, was the winner of t<\/span>he Scratch category with 31 points. After completion of the tournament, all participants gathered in the Club House\u00a0for lunch and enjoyed the awards ceremony and the usual raffle.<\/div>\n
