The Three Wise Men are coming to the Costa del Sol on Saturday!

For most of the children in Spain, Santa Claus isn´t the one who brings the main Christmas gifts.
It´s the three wise men who come on the night between the 5th and the 6th of January that really matters!

In the late afternoon / evening of the 5th of January you can watch the traditional parades of the Three Wise Men,
the final event of the Spanish festive calendar.

The Cabalgatas (processions) are headed by Los Tres Reyes Magos (Three Wise Men), who throw sweets to the thousands of spectators who line the routes along which the procession embarks. The processions include elegantly-decorated floats carrying Gaspar, Melchor and Baltasar, accompanied by an array of biblical and Disney characters.

The parades will begin in the afternoon and embark a three or four hour journey through the main streets of the towns, the main parade being the one in Malaga city with 15 decorated floats, starting at 6pm from the city hall and through the main streets of the city.

Two processions will take place in Mijas. The first will leave the Campo de Fútbol de Las Lagunas at 4pm and another will set off from Plaza Virgen de la Peña in Mijas Pueblo at 4.30pm.

In Fuengirola, the parade will start in Calle Mallorca at 5.30pm and in Marbella, at 6pm from Avenida Severo Ochoa.

After the evening´s celebrations the children will go home full of excitement, knowing that on the following morning
they will wake up and find the presents The Three Wise Men have left for them at home.
