Iagto Andalucía Trophy 2022
After a long time of restrictions due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the main representatives of golf worldwide, were finally able to meet again in the town of Jerez during the IAGTO Trophy.
The best golf courses in Spain and the best intermediaries met in Jerez for a week, after a year of spectacular activity for all parties. After the pandemic and after the reopening of the borders, the number of international golfers has triggered the sales records of many of the Spanish golf courses.
Spain is consolidated as one of the best golf destinations in the world. The varied offer that players can find in Spain, together with the quality of the service and the courses, makes this country one of the most important golf venues for golfers from all over the world.
The IAGTO Andalucía Golf Trophy-Cádiz was co-organized by the Provincial Council and the Tourism Department of the Junta de Andalucía, together with the IAGTO association, and was able to count on the collaboration of the Jerez City Council, among other entities. In total, some 300 golf tourism professionals from 25 different countries participated. After a week of work and planning for the future, all the participants hoped that 2023 would continue to be a great year in terms of sales and that the number of players visiting Spain, and specifically the Costa del Sol, would be similar or even higher than this year. Let’s not forget that next year the Costa del Sol will host one of the most important golf events of the world, the Solheim Cup. These types of major sporting events always help to promote the destination and the practice of the sport of golf.
As a part of the IAGTO Trophy, Chaparral Golf Club organized a fam trip at the Club after finishing the days of meetings Jerez. The Club had the pleasure of receiving some of the main golf agents from Europe, the United States and Canada. It was a magnificent day and the visitors were able to see for themselves the investments and improvements that have been made to the course and facilities over the last two years. When the pandemic started, Chaparral Golf, made the decision to continue with the investment and improvement plan that had already been outlined, despite times of uncertainty. The Club decided to take advantage of the time to improve its product and brand, and consequently, offer more and more quality and better service to its customers.
Agents who have trusted Chaparral for many years, coming from countries such as; Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland, from Central European countries: such as Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland, the Czech Republic or Poland, congratulated the Club during the Iagto Trophy, for the great work carried out in recent years. Chaparral Golf Club is grateful for all the support received from agents and players for many years that has helped the Club to be able to continue advancing and investing in its facilities today.
