CHAPARRAL GOLF CLUB RECEIVES MORE THAN 100 PLAYERS FOR THE XIII TORNEO OPEN FUENGIROLA LA BANDERA BY HYUNDAI AUTOMÓVILES NIETO
On Saturday, November 26, the Costa del Sol was the meeting point for the most competitive golfers on the coast who came to play the XIII TORNEO OPEN FUENGIROLA LA BANDERA BY HYUNDAI AUTOMÓVILES NIETO at the Chaparral Golf Club.
The golf tournament was organized by La Bandera and had the collaboration of Hyundai Automóviles Nieto as main sponsor, Fuengirola City Council, Chaparral Golf Club and a large number of collaborating companies, such as; Inside Malaga, Wifi Blue, Arcoplan, Cotaisa, Costamuebles, Charolais Restaurant Winery, Insulated Interior, Pepe el Cordobés Restaurant, Govez Stationery, The Beach Club El Higuerón, La Esquinita Bar Restaurant, Lizarrán Mijas Costa, Autos Reina, Higuerón Spa, Restaurant Longliners, Ferretería Martín, Plocher Beauty Concept, The Green Label Restaurant, Wingy Gin, Melilla Cruier, Myramar Dental Clinic, Helvetia, Sunshine Golf, Francisco José Araujo Gómez, G M Law Firm, Frutería El Abuelo and Bar Malavida.
A total of 108 players participated in the competition that began thirteen years ago and has been held every year since then to enjoy a great day of golf, coexistence and friendship.
The XIII TORNEO OPEN FUENGIROLA LA BANDERA BY HYUNDAI AUTOMÓVILES NIETO was held under the Individual Stableford modality with a shotgun start at 09:00. Club La Bandera has prepared a welcome pack for all participants before heading to the course to start their game. The weather of the day was spectacular, with fabulous playability, thanks to the good work of the maintenance team and the good condition of the Chaparral Golf course.
The players were able to enjoy a well-deserved paus in the Lounge Bar located on hole 9, where a courtesy table with acorn-fed Iberian ham, cheese, wine and beer awaited them. After the tournament, the participants were treated to a typical Spanish 2-course menu with a generous bean stew and chorizo for starter and Iberian sirloin medallions for main course.
Both the Club and the organizers were happy to see that the event was a complete success and that everyone enjoyed the day very much.
Winners of the XIII OPEN FUENGIROLA LA BANDERA BY HYUNDAI AUTOMÓVILES NIETO TOURNAMENT
The good results obtained by the vast majority of players demanded a very complete game from the winners to achieve victory.
The prizes went to the three best classified in each of the three categories; two male categories and one female.
The first three classified in the first Handicap Men category were: Manuel Olmo Morales with 44 points in first place, José Ruiz Rando with 42 puntos in the second place and, José Rueda Gómez in third place with 39 points.
The winners of the first three prizes in the second Men’s Handicap category were: Diego De La Rosa Lozano with 39 points in first place, Raúl Lozada Olmedo in the second place with 38 points and Miguel Ángel Aranda Tur in third place with 38 points.
The winners of the first three prizes in the Ladies category were: Remedios Vargas López as a winner with 36 points, Hilde Van Landschoot in the second place with 33 points and Beatriz Rodríguez Jurado in third place with 32 points.
